Chevy Blazer Problem
Trouble spots include commonly occurring problem posted by the manufacturer's
Technical Service Bulletins. Automatic transmission, engines knock and exhaust
system are the common trouble spots for
Chevy Blazer. The car's TH-700-R4 automatic transmission may shift late or not up shift at
all caused by a tuck throttle valve inside the transmission. 1991-1993 models
are affected with this problem.
Engine knock can be solved by using an oil filter with a check valve. If it remains
unsolved, it needs assistance from the mother company. The exhaust system may
fail due to improper lubrication of the exhaust valves. In some cases, the same
engine may consume excess oil because of worn-out valve-guide seals.
